Kasia is a lawyer with experience in legal analysis and non-profit projects' management. With risk-taking and restless personality she has left her legal job in Madrid and opted for exploring Southern American NGOs sector. She acted as VOFAIR VERIFICATION OFFICER for Southern America. Her previous professional experience and knowledge of 4 languages serve her to assess the quality and measure effectiveness of voluntary programs.
Yogna has traveled the world, and South America in 2014. She found VOFAIR during her stay in Santiago de Chile. She contributed to VOFAIR`s marketing plan and also assited at project verifications. She currently lives back in London and works in the third sector. Her enthusiasm has no limits!
Marina is a social worker with expertise in Cooperation and Education for Development. She is an alumnus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and has been an aid worker in Nicaragua, an intern at the United Nations Volunteers corps in the Dominican Republic, and a volunteer in Poland.
Lauren is a native French speaker and is assisting with the translation of the VOFAIR website. She has a Bachelor of International Relations from the University of Queensland, Australia and has recently graduated from a Master of Political Science at Lund University in Sweden. She plans on moving to Chile mid-2013 in order to learn Spanish, discover a new culture and gain professional experience in the field of non profit
Maya is a native of the state of Iowa in the United States. She grew up in the countryside near a small, rural town in a household where anthropology, Latin America, and music were always present. Maya speaks Spanish and some German, and has travelled frequently to Latin America. She received a B.A. in Anthropology from Grinnell College in 2012. She currently holds the position of Director of Communications at VOFAIR, reaching out to both volunteer projects and people interested in volunteering across borders.
Veterinarian with a strong focus on innovation, experienced primarily as a freelancer, developing various projects and areas of business related to veterinary medicine and exotic animals. In the same vein conducts courses, lectures, and consulting. Deborah is the author of VOFAIR`s volunteer with animals guide.
Kathryn is originally from a small town in southeastern Wisconsin in the United States. She holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Management at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She found VOFAIR through her study abroad experience, while attending the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In the past, she interned for a communications team at Johnson Controls, Inc., which earned an Excellence in Communications Award and Chairman’s Award during her term. She strives to bring her experience, studies and artistic interests to the VOFAIR team. Katie contributed to VOFAIR`s marketing and the verifier`s programme. She also carried field work for project verifiaction.
Mercedes is a psychologist specialized in expressive arts therapies and creativity, which she has studied in Argentina and in the US. She has over 7 years experience in working with individuals and groups within educational and clinical settings, in NGO and for profit organizations in Argentina and Central America. Since 2011 she has focused her work in social organizations collaborating with her specialty. Today she is most passionate about encouraging volunteer practices around the world because she believes these are deeply transformative and healing both for the giver and the receiver.
Nicolas Concha Roa, a young entrepreneur, has been running his online business for already 3 years. He is a graduate of Design at the University of Chile, and passionate for IT. His expertise is the development of advertising in internet media and he has a strong background in web development and design for consumer services. He manages: HTML5, CSS3, MySql, PHP, PARALAX. Nicolas was the technical director of VOFAIR between 2012 and 2013.
Before her studies in International Business with majoring in Accounting at Maastricht University in The Netherlands, Christina studied and worked in Business Administration in Europe and the USA. Participating in an apprenticeship-program at a multinational glass-manufacturing company in Germany, she followed business courses and gained work experience in several fields. Spending six months during her exchange semester in Chile, she fell in love with the country and the people and decided to join the VO-FAIR team.
