Description of the organisation:
Clave de Sur brings musical activities to impoverished urban areas like Guasmo Sur in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in order to improve the quality of life for people who live there. The team of people working for Clave de Sur adapts its teaching methods to each participant in the program in order to ensure that they gain a deeper understanding of music. Finally, Clave de Sur uses a trickle down teaching method that allows the most advanced students to become teachers to the beginning students.
Sociability and dedication to work. Experience working with children and youth. Knowledge of music theory, solfeggio, and at least one instrument. Basic Spanish in order to teach music.

Host family, shared room, 3 meals a day. Please notify of any dietary restrictions. Housing conditions are basic. A minimum financial contribution to the host family of $150/month ($5/ day) is asked.
